This lovely lady was born in Guymon, Oklahoma and now enjoys her life in Lamar, Colorado. She graduated with a degree in Education from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. Lord joined WPRA in 2003 with her husband, Phy Lord, supporting her all the way. Shali bought the horse, “Slider” on her birthday in 2004 from former rodeo teammate Kirbi Thiel. In December of 2004, Molly Powell leased Slider for the Wrangler NFR. Powell won the 2004 WNFR aggregate title.
