I live in a small town in Ohio, hunted since 6th grade so all that I knew was lace up hunting boots. Then I joined FFA as a freshman in highschool and decided I wanted a pair of boots, I didn't know brands or anything like that, I just found a pair I liked that happened to be Justin gypsy. I loved them, wore them 5 days a week. 5 months later I got a pair of square toe and yesterday ordered a pointed toe 12" western. I love my boots and wear them year round. Justin's will be the only thing I ever wear.
My name is Andria Adkins. My 9yr old daughter has been told by osceola county school district that she cant wear justin boots to school. there are unsafe and not athletic. I'm sure you agree that i can run a mile chasing a cow in my boots. if thats not athletic, i don't know what is.. please help us fight to wear your boots......... https://www.facebook.com/andria.adkins/posts/10200164370185481:3. Please read my story.
I am living in Victoria, BC Canada. I was at my favorite Hospice recycle boutique yesterday. All items are donated for resale to the public, all money is in support of the wonderful work the "Hospice" community provides for dying persons. I saw these tall womens boots, the leather nicely broken in, the color light tan with darker hearts sewn in. I was in love and they fit like a dream. I am loving my new boots!
My daughter ( Delaney Smith) won the mutten busting Friday night. She was so excited that she won a pair of Justin Boots. Thank you for putting on a great event! Thank you, The Smiths
My dad got his Justin boot from a little hole in the wall same place he got my first pair of boots. He was 17 and I've had them my whole life till he was skinning a buffalo and got fat on them. They shrank after that and dried so he gave them to me. I was 17 when he gave them to me. I replaced the sole and hill twice when I was 21 I had to hang them up, which makes them 25 years old. Best boots I ever had-I'm going to get a new pair when I get the money.
I purchased my Justin lace-up roper work boots shortly after getting stationed in San Diego, CA in 2002. It wasn't long after moving there that I met a very good friend that introduced me to country that ended up being our weekend home away from home. Over the next 2 years, we were there every weekend. While there, I danced with a lot of very nice young ladies, all the while, every night, in the same pair of Justin lace-ups. Never did I have sore feet. Here we are, 2013, and I still wear the same lace-ups as I did every night at the bar. They have not split; the soles have not worn off. In short, this is the BEST pair of boots I have EVER owned. I love the Justin product and will forever own a pair of Justin boots. Thank you so much for the super quality product that withstands the test of time.
when i was born i had a stroke and affected my right side as a result i had to wear a brace on my right leg that always rubbed horrible sores, my grandpa bought me a pair of justins to replace the brace and the rest is history i been wearin justins for about 33 years ! :)
I live in Virginia and In the winter of 2005 we had a snow storm. Of corse my dog wanted to go out. So I pulled on my thinsulated/water proof justin ropers and went outside snow was everywhere . As we were coming back up the slope of back yard I stepped in a hole. I heard my ankle snap and felt the pain as I landed on my back. So there I am laying in the snow with my dog and a broken ankle. I was able to push myself on my back uphill to get to my basement. If I had not had my Justin boots on this would have been a lot worse they held my ankle in place till help arrived.
It all started when I told my parents I wanted to buy a pair of boots a few yrs ago. As I was telling them my mother mentioned she recently found hers & brings a box that says Justin boots on it. Turns out my father gave them to her when I was a child & she never wore them because she doesn't like boots. So I try them on & they FIT. Not only was I excited I didn't have to spend anymore but that they would finally be used. That's why I believe the Justin boots were destined to be mine from the start.
Lat year in June, I was a member of a FFA team that qualified to go to the National Land Judging and Homesite Evaluation Contest that takes place in Oklahoma every year. Every land judger knows that the keys to being successful are a good land knife and a perfect pair of boots. I had the good knife, but my old boots just weren't dependable enough to make the cut. So I went on the search for the perfect pair and finally settled on a pair of Justin George Strait boots.
On contest day, I trudged out into the thirty degree, rainy, windy weather, jumping into muddy soil pits with no concern about my feet getting wet! My rain suit couldn't even hold up to the Oklahoma weather, because by the second hole my rain pants were ripped clear to the ankle, flapping in the wind like the sails of a sailboat.
My team brought home two national titles that day, and I placed in the top ten in both contests. Our team holds the titles of the 2013 National FFA Land Judging and Homesite Evaluation Champions. Those boots will always hold a special place in my heart because they held up to the tough Oklahoma red dirt and mud, so I know that they will hold up to anything else I put them through, wether it be cleaning out horse stalls, riding my horses, or competing in another FFA contest.
This is my little story. Five years ago I came from Germany with my family to South Carolina USA.Never would I have thought to come here and to live here. When I was a little girl I loved to play outdoors in the nature Cowboys and Indians because I was a tomboy and for me there was no more beautiful. I had so many ideas and dreams and some of them came true. I've found the greatest love by acciedent. I get a Quarter Horse called Low Bow. Always when I was a little girl I wanted to ride a horse like John Wayne I wanted to wear boots like he has worn. I wanted to be a Cowboy. The first what I have done when I was shopping for the first time in America I had bought Justin Boots! They felt so good on my feed. Much later I noticed I had bought boots for men althought I have womens size 8. It dosn't matter I loved this pair of boots that I painted a pictures of them. Now the pictures hang on the wall and always will remember me you have to follow your dreams because dreams come true maybe forever and I can stay with my horse in this wounderful great country called AMERICA.
I have finicky feet; Justin Gypsies have been my only comfortable footwear for years. I wore them when admitted for knee-replacement surgery at a Boston hospital and had nothing else to wear when I first got up on crutches. Picture me stumping up and down the hallways in my johnny and cowboy boots; I caused quite a sensation.
My story is a couple of decades in the making and still going. My wife and me met up in 2003. As we got to know each other she told me of her past and the travels she had with her family when she was 13. One such was a tour of America in 1993. We are from South Africa so its a big deal touring like this. One stopover was in Chicago where she bought a amazing set of Justins and a Stetson to match. So skip ahead to 1997 and she lost her father in a motor vehicle accident. The family was broken and everything was sold to cover costs. The Justins remained. Skip ahead a few more years to 2006 and while at her mother's house we got talking about those boots again. Her mother quitely got up and fetched a suitcase that was packed away. Returning she put it on the living room table and opened it. Inside was the Justins. Near mint condition. Her father had worn them but looked after them like gold because remember we are in South Africa and they don't grow on trees here. She looked at me and said :"Do you want them son?". It was like opening the holy grail. I expected a light to shine from that old suitcase. In a heartbeat I had them on and it was a perfect fit. Like they were bought for me. I also wore them quite a bit but decided to rather keep them in mint condition as they are practically family heirlooms at this moment. They get a rubdown once in a while and I brag with them to all and sunder. So you see, these boots have a twenty year history with my family. If I could somehow win the story contest it would be a great continuation or addon to this family legacy. Yours truly, Leon Thom Bleomfontein, South Africa Ps. Serial numbers of the boots so you know this is a true story : 28689 O. On the inside it also says Justin style 1967.
My son was born with bilateral club feet. He has had numerous surgeries and we have to buy a new pair of boots every 3 mths due to the way he walks them down. The doctors say his lace up justin boots are good for his feet and he loves them. He wears nothing but his boots. I have tried getting him to wear high top nikes but they do not provide the support that his Justin boots do. So I just want to say Thank You for making a boot that is comfortable for him to wear and provide the support he needs!
Recently I joined horse 4-H. I'm one of those rare few who joins it in their high school years. I've been an english purist rider for ages. But then I realized the cowgirl I had inside of me. It sounds weird, but my blood has plenty of country in it (my grandma took piano lessons from George Straight's parents-they lived down the street from each other!). So I took on western riding. Of course, I fell in love, and rode my first western show only after about 2 months.
So, I had the western riding skills, but I didn't have the boots. So I went to my local western store after my birthday, and had to face the endless shelves of boots with a practically empty pocket compared to some of the prices.
I wanted a stylish boot, a boot I could wear around town, but I also wanted a functional riding/mucking boot. Where I live, there is plenty of rain and mud. I also wanted a boot that I could wear at 4-H shows. And this all had to be met within my small budget.
I saw the gypsies, with light blue piping and square toes, and fell in love. They were perfect. And fit my budget. I could say that they practically screamed my name.
So of course I bought them.
I even fell in love with the box.
And that love still lasts. I wore them just today while riding. Sometimes I even wear them with my breeches, I love them so much. And today when I was hosing down my horse I of course managed to spray myself. No big deal. My boots were soaking wet, yet my feet were perfectly dry.
Justin, you've satisfied. Actually, more than satisfied. You've got me in love with a pair of boots. Just like it is said with horses, you can never have just one.
If you happen to fall in love with my story like I fell in love with my boots, I would love another pair.
I believe that Justin Boots follow along that old commercial tagline—if you can afford them, you can’t have just one pair. My first pair came in 2009, and the others joined them in 2012. Originally they were something to wear to a rodeo, or two different George Strait concerts, but they’ve since become a part of who I am, a way to always keep the country with me, a part of the cowboy lifestyle, and a way to stand out from the crowd. Now Justin informs my career—I seldom write a novel that doesn’t include at least one character wearing cowboy boots.
When I was 20 and beginning a rough won new life I was broke. I had little or nothing to spend on any sort of extras. Since I needed shoes rather badly I opted to celebrate my new life and bought a pair of Justins from Hamleys in Pendleton Or.
I needed practical shoes. I may have backed out of buying boots except as I slipped the boots on it was as if I had slipped my feet into comfortable slippers. It was a sign, they were made for ME!
People have come and gone in my life as have houses n horses. I have had a couple of wonderful dogs who were long lived and ever faithful to me. However, my own most long lived personal possession is my Justin boots.
My boots still fit well and look great. The leather has been taken care of and is subtle n smooth. The style is still as current as can be expected and they are yet the best dancing boots Ive ever two stepped in.
Oh yeah, I turned 60 on my last birthday.
I can take a picture of them, just dont have one this minute.
A couple of years ago i told my dad i wanted to buy some boots. My mom overheard me & remembered she had come across her justin boots in her closet that my dad had given her years ago probably when i was a kid. She never wore them because she doesnt like cowboy boots. So i tried them on & they fit perfectly!!! Thats why I say the boots were destined to be mine from the beginning.
i have had my boots since i was 10 and i had big feet. my parents couldnt find me a pair of tony lamas that fit but one day in the mid winter we went to a western store and found a pair of justin work boots that were just my size so we bought them. they were my first pair of boots. Through snow and rain and mud and dirt and poop these boots have lasted me these years. now to this day i am 46 and i still wear and have those same boots and i have pride in work, farming and ranching, and justin boots. Thanks justin boots.
I loved my Justin camoflauge Gypy's! I trained horses, shown, taught lessons, and worked in them daily! I even support my bullriding boyfriend at all his pro rodeos standing in my Justin's! Until about 11 weeks ago I had a bad fall from a horse I had been training and broke my L1 vertebrae in my back and my tibia and fibula clean through. My leg was hanging and they cut my favorite Justin boots off! As I was laying on the ground I heard someone say something about cutting "my favorite pair of boots" off! Due to the accident I cannot train and am not able to get another job which means I am not able to buy another pair of Justin boots... I need a new pair of boots!!
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew Justin boots were my boots. I would put on my grandpa's Justin's and walk around the house and the ranch with them on. They were way too big, but that didn't stop me. Now that I'm older, I buy my own and let my grandpa wear his. Still working on the ranch, our lives and going strong, and so are our boots.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have worn out three pairs of Justin Original work boots limping around this ole ball of dirt. Most of the bones in my right foot and ankle are bone on bone now so I try not to, can't really, put too much weight on it for too long and end up stomping the sole off the left boot. Got a bad left hip too that don't help. The right ones are still good! :)
Used to work in construction for 20+ years but had to retire because of the RA so getting a new pair puts a real dent in the small budget. The pair I am wearing now is down to the plastic mid sole and I got a hole in the bottom of the heel. Might have to wear these ones right off before i can a new pair, haha. Love my boots though and these have been going strong for quite a while. Even if I don't get a free pair when I get some new boots they'll be Justins for sure. Good boots!
Hi first off I want to say I love Justin Boots.
My name is Chris and I own a pair of Justin Brown Ropers. They are AWESOME and I would love to own another pair of Justin's. The quality is great and I will advertise your boots until I draw my last breath. Justin Boots are number 1 in my book.
I like my Justin boots, because they keep all the farm poo off of my feet. They can make me dance better than Ginger Rogers. I can walk a mile in my own boots and don't have to do it in someone else's shoes. My Justin boots have always fit PERFECTLY, they fit better than a banana peel fits on a banana.
This is my story now. My boots are wearing thinner than my income. Too much wear and tear. The holes in my Justin boots are causing the poo to slip through. I dance more like one of The Three Stooges. And I really think I may have to ask to borrow someone's boots. They still fit like that banana peel, but lookin' like the banana has been thrown around a bit. :(
My brother is 18 months younger than I. We grew up always in competition of one another. Always striving to one up one another at any cost.
August 1, 2003...that cost was the ultimate sacrifice in a time of war, over in Iraq just after the initial invasion. Serving with his comrades in the US ARMY, 173rd Airborne.
A year or two later I was asked to accompany some friends to Vegas, to see the PBR and attend Cowboy Christmas at the convention center. The night before, we had hit up a bar within the Frontier hotel I do believe. We partied all night long as we were entertained by Bill Engvall and Toby Keith at this random bar within the hotel. The next morning came early, it was to be spent walking the Cowboy Christmas convention. Totally felt nauseous most of the day. Many times I just stood near the bathroom or a trash bin.
I caught a glimpse of a sign that said Justin, realized it was the boot company as I approached. I gazed around at everything that had my brothers name on it and felt bittersweet. I spotted a pair of boots that I desired to have. A man walked up as I was teary eyed and asked if he could help. I told him that I hadn't ever had a pair of boots before but I was a fan of these cause the name was my brothers. The guy grinned and said well you must have a pretty special brother. I held back tears as I said yes he was. He got quiet and I proceeded to tell him that I lost him in Iraq...
He then stood there and got choked up myself.
I held a maroon pair of ladies Justin boots and said I'll take these! He rang me up and then handed me all these signs that said Justin on them, and told me thank you for my service and that he wouldn't ever forget what my brother did for our country.
I still have them years later, not wearing them much because they're special to me. After that moment at the Justin boot stand, the nausea went away and I just filed another moment away in this lifetime in remembrance of my brother.
