BLACK IGUANA LIZARD is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated Review My Grandpa always told me, "Any job worth doing, is worth doing right". My addition to that is, any boot worth owning, is worth taking care of. Justin boots are the only boot I wear, in fact, the roper style is it! Low heel, round toe, shorter shaft compared to the "cowboy" boots I've worn most of my life, in my opinion is the only way to go. I love this boot, and the style of the exotic hides make this boot a winner regardless of the occasion. I can wear dress slacks, a full on suit, or just jeans and a T-shirt. Ball cap, cowboy hat, or no cover at all, I'm good to go in my Iguana ropers! The Iguana is a reptile leather, so I make sure to clean and condition them often to keep them looking as nice as they do. I own "several" pairs of Justin ropers, so a pair of lizards might not get worn in a month or two, in that case I at least wipe them free of dust. From goat, ostrich and kipskin, the lizards get the "most" attention. These are super nice boots, so long as I take care of them, they take care of me! These boots come highly recommended, the comfort and style you get for the price you pay, are no match for any other boot manufacturer.

Boot Fit Tips

Because boots don't have laces, proper fit is all about the instep.
Boots should feel snug in this area, but not tight.
If the instep is too tight, go for a wider or bigger size.

The widest part of the foot is called the ball (it's where you bend your foot when you walk or run).
Make sure the ball of your foot lines up with the the ball of the boot (that's the widest part of the boot where the steel shank ends).
If the boot is too short, your toes will be forced into the toe box.

Boots should slip slightly in the heel. Boots are built in such a way that there's nothing to keep your heel from riding up a bit.
As you wear the boot, the sole will become more flexible and most of the slippage will disappear with time.
If the instep is too loose, the boot will slip too much, which means that you need a narrower or smaller size boot.
