Justin Boots is excited to announce a new program featuring up and coming music artists. The program is called "Ones to Watch" and will be introducing country music artists that are on the rise to you, our fans, so you can get to know them a little better. We are excited about bringing you the rising stars of country music each month as we focus on one particular artist and their story. Be on the lookout for each featured artist.

Our first "Ones to Watch" artist is Canaan Smith. Canaan's hometown is Williamsburg, Virginia, but he currently resides in Nashville, TN where he is pursuing his country music career. He is a Mercury Records recording artist who released his first single, “We Got Us” in 2012. It is available on iTunes. Along with playing music, Canaan has a love for song writing. Canaan has written songs now recorded by artists such as Jason Aldean, Love and Theft, and Craig Morgan. Among Canaan’s influences as an artist is one of Justin’s longtime friends and endorsees, George Strait.

When asked what comes to mind when boots are mentioned, Canaan said, "When someone says cowboy boots, Justin's the brand I think of. They're simple, well built and comfortable. And, they look good no matter how you wear 'em.” Just as all of you have your favorite pair of Justin Boots, Canaan has his favorite pair as well. You might be wondering what his “must haves” are, so we caught up with him to find out. He told us, “I like rockin' my Cognac Safari Elephants (AQHA Style #8555) on stage with a pair of jeans. Justin's a boot I'll wear for a long time.” Canaan is also a guy who likes adventure as he competed on the hit reality television show The Amazing Race. Canaan will be performing at the CMA Music Festival on June 9 at the Bridgestone Stage. For more information regarding the CMA Music Festival, visit their website. You can learn more about Canaan, his tour dates, and his music at www.canaansmith.com. Go listen to this great young artist!
