On May 24, thirty of the world’s most outstanding pianists took the stage at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the prestigious fourteenth annual Van Cliburn International Piano Competition that takes place until June 9. The competition brings competitors and audiences from around the world to Fort Worth every four years for the “Super Bowl” of piano competitions. This competition brings international pianists to the Lone Star State to compete for the high honor of winning the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition that launches a life-changing career for one deserving talent. Justin Boots is very proud to be a part of this event as a sponsor and supporter of the competition and the competitors.

As we Texans know, Texas is known for its rodeos, western lifestyle, and, of course, cowboy boots. To welcome the competitors to Texas and as a sponsor, Justin presents each of the thirty competitors with their very own pair of Justin Boots. Receiving a pair of cowboy boots is an exciting experience for many of the competitors as cowboy boots are not a frequent occurrence in many of their native countries. Some of us here at the Justin family had the privilege of meeting the contestants at a breakfast event on Wednesday, May 22 where we held a boot fitting. They were able to try on the correct size boots and get an idea of what their very own pair will be like. It was a privilege to meet these great individuals and share with them our love for boots and “the cowboy way.” If any of our Justin fans are in Fort Worth over the duration of the competition, we encourage you to give all of the competitors and visitors a big Texas welcome. Justin wishes all of the talented pianists GOOD LUCK! For more information about the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition visit www.cliburn.org.
