3X Paralympian
Dani Aravich is the kind of athlete who doesn’t just chase a finish line, she expands what’s possible along the way. Born without her left hand and forearm, Dani turned grit into a calling, building a career that blends high-performance sport with high-impact advocacy.
A former Division I runner, Dani earned her place on the world stage in Paralympic track & field, competing for Team USA in the 400m (T47) at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Not long after, she took a leap that most athletes never attempt: committing to winter sport, learning Nordic skiing at record speed, and becoming one of the few competitors to race in both the Summer and Winter Paralympics within the same year.
That gamble paid off. Dani represented Team USA again at Beijing 2022, competing in Paralympic cross-country skiing and biathlon, and she’s continued to climb - earning major international results, including a World Championship gold (mixed relay) and World Cup podium finishes.
Off the course, Dani brings the same energy to building the sport. She’s worked in sports media and digital storytelling, helped amplify Paralympic coverage, and continues to push for broader visibility, better access, and a bigger spotlight on Paralympic athletes. Her mission is simple: get more people watching, talking about, and showing up for the Paralympics than ever before.
Following another Paralympics appearance at Milano Cortina in 2026, Dani continues to train and show up with a competitor's focus and a storyteller's heart. And yes, she’s known to bring a little personality to the start line too - like Justin cowboy boots - because confidence is part of the uniform.
Dani’s advice for anyone chasing something big: stay consistent, control what you can, and keep showing up, because the work you put in when nobody’s watching is what carries you when everybody is.
For the woman who walks in louder than the music.
